The Allen Americans, the ECHL team affiliated with the Ottawa Senators, have announced the signing of forward Michael Gildon for the 2026‑27 season, bringing a proven scorer back to the roster.
A Productive Return
Gildon concluded the 2024‑25 campaign with a career‑high 55 points, tying for fifth on the club with 21 goals and 34 assists in 72 games. His consistent production helped the Americans remain competitive throughout the season.
The move follows a trade between the Americans and the Fort Wayne Komets that involved former forward Kyle Crnkovic. The transaction cleared roster space and positioned the team to integrate Gildon into their forward lines for the upcoming season.
Beyond the ECHL
Before arriving in Allen, Gildon honed his skills at Ohio State University, appearing in 118 collegiate games and accumulating 38 points. Internationally, he represented the United States at the under‑17 level, earning a gold medal in 2017‑18, and later contributed to a bronze‑medal effort with the under‑18 squad in 2018‑19.
