Michael Shreeve Takes the Helm of Snow College Women’s Basketball

A seasoned coach brings a winning pedigree to the Badgers as they eye a strong 2026‑27 campaign

Snow College announced Monday that Michael Shreeve will take over as head coach of the women's basketball program, ushering in a new chapter for the Badgers as they prepare for the 2026‑27 season.

A Coach With a Proven Track Record

Shreeve arrives after four seasons at Utah Valley University, where he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator and helped the Wolverines post a program‑best 19‑13 record in 2024‑25, culminating in a 70‑64 victory over the Air Force Academy that marked the team's first ever postseason win.

His tenure also saw the development of multiple All‑WAC and All‑Defensive Team selections and a national ranking of third in steals per game during the 2025‑26 campaign.

Prior to Utah Valley, Shreeve spent a season at Rice University as film coordinator and earlier served as a graduate assistant and interim director of basketball operations at Brigham Young University, experiences that included guiding the Cougars to two second‑round NCAA Tournament appearances.

A Vision Grounded in Core Values

Speaking about his new role, Shreeve outlined a philosophy built on authenticity, loyalty, gratitude and toughness, promising to develop players both on and off the court. Athletic Director Karen Johnson praised the appointment, noting gratitude for the outgoing coach Zu Grinsell’s six‑year legacy of a 98‑76 record and expressing excitement for the direction Shreeve will lead the program.

The Badgers hope to translate Shreeve’s extensive background and his focus on player development into a competitive presence in the upcoming season, aiming to contend for conference titles and beyond.
