Michigan State has officially entered the race for three‑star tight end Ryan Pankey, extending a scholarship to the Colorado prospect ahead of his scheduled campus visit next month.
Pankey, currently ranked as the No. 7 player in his home state for the 2027 class, holds offers from a dozen other programs, including Oregon State, Washington State, Colorado State, Kent State, San Diego State, New Mexico State, UNLV and Wyoming.
The tight end’s official visit to East Lansing is set for June 5, a date that could prove pivotal in his decision‑making process as he narrows his list of suitors.
Coaches at Michigan State view the recruitment as a priority, noting that no other official visits have been announced for Pankey, which positions the Spartans as the clear front‑runner in his pursuit.
