Defensively, Michigan boasts an elite cornerback duo that should tighten the secondary, while the linebacker corps works to rebuild around the arrival of edge rusher John Henry Daley from Utah. The blend of experience and fresh talent creates a defensive identity that could complement a high-scoring offense.
The schedule presents a gauntlet of Big Ten title-tier opponents, including Oregon, Ohio State and Oklahoma, each game a potential pivot point for playoff positioning.
