A Championship Celebration in Smoke
The University of Michigan’s men’s basketball team captured its first national championship in nearly four decades, a milestone that has sparked excitement across the state.
In response, Houston‑based cigar manufacturer Bocock Brothers has introduced a limited‑edition series titled Michigan National Champions Cigars, incorporating the school’s iconic maize and blue palette and a custom national‑champions logo.
Each cigar measures six inches in length with a 52‑ring gauge, and a box of ten retails for $290, positioning the product as a premium collectible for fans and aficionados alike.
The blend features a Honduran maduro wrapper surrounded by a binder from the same country, while the filler incorporates tobacco from Honduras, Nicaragua and Paraguay, delivering a rich and complex smoking experience.
Production takes place at Bocock Brothers’ factory in Danlí, Honduras, where the company has built a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and consistent quality.
The cigars are sold directly through the Bocock Brothers website and are also stocked by a network of brick‑and‑mortar tobacconists in Michigan, ensuring that Wolverine supporters can easily acquire the memorabilia.
Bryant Bocock, co‑founder of Bocock Brothers Premium Cigars, said the collaboration reflects a shared passion for celebrating Michigan’s sporting triumphs with a product that embodies both tradition and innovation.
