Ole Miss baseball coach Mike Bianco has turned to the transfer portal to reshape his squad ahead of a pivotal season, bringing in a wave of experienced talent that could reshape the team's prospects on the diamond.
A New Roster Takes Shape
Among those who remain, returning position players such as Hayden Federico, Owen Paino, Dom Decker and Austin Fawley provide continuity, while transfers Trey Hawsey from Louisiana Tech and Blake Fields from Houston add depth. At the same time, several veterans including Brett Moseley, Brayden Randle and Tate Sirmans have entered the portal, opening space for fresh faces.
Pitching Staff Reinforcements
The pitching rotation will see newcomer Brent Stukes from USC Upstate, who posted an 8‑3 record with a 5.35 ERA last season, join veteran Andrew Rogovic from Northeastern, who recorded 60 strikeouts in 39.2 innings with a 4.31 ERA, and Kendall Hoffman from Houston, projected to anchor the weekend rotation with a 4.56 ERA. Jason Fultz from Clemson may also see action alongside Owen Paino on the left side of the infield.
Draft Outlook and Future Prospects
With the new talent in place, the Rebels hope to improve their standing heading into the MLB Draft, leveraging a blend of proven collegiate experience and high‑upside prospects. Coach Bianco emphasized that the roster moves are part of a broader strategy to compete at the highest level while maintaining academic integrity.
