A New Era for Arnold Soccer
Mike Chrivia, the former Bay High mentor, has been named the new head coach of the Arnold boys soccer program, taking over from Jonathan Hammond, who steered the team for ten seasons.
During his tenure, Hammond led Arnold to three Florida High School Athletic Association state championships and a 2024 MaxPreps national title, while the program enjoyed a 75‑game home winning streak at Gavlak Stadium that became a hallmark of the school’s dominance.
Chrivia’s own coaching résumé includes a recent stint at Bay High where his squad posted an 8‑10‑3 record, and his appointment is being greeted as a blend of continuity and fresh perspective for a program eager to maintain its winning culture.
The transition comes as the community anticipates how the new coaching philosophy will shape the next chapter, with expectations that the team will build on its recent triumphs while adapting to new strategies on the field.
