Mike Duffy Takes the Helm of Mount Saint Mary Men's Basketball
Mount Saint Mary College has officially named Mike Duffy as the new head coach of its men's basketball program, marking the sixth leadership change in the program's history and signaling a fresh direction for the team.
Duffy arrives after five seasons as the lead assistant at SUNY New Paltz, where he helped the Hawks secure their best SUNYAC regular‑season finish and capture the conference championship, achievements that underscored his ability to develop winning cultures.
Prior to his tenure at New Paltz, Duffy contributed to Western New England University's rise, playing a key role in a series of notable victories and national rankings that enhanced the program's profile.
His academic credentials include a Master of Science in Sport Leadership and Coaching from Western New England University (2020) and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from New York University (2016), providing a strong theoretical foundation to complement his practical experience.
A Vision for Championship Success
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Duffy emphasized his commitment to building meaningful relationships with student‑athletes while striving to sustain a championship‑caliber program at Mount Saint Mary.
He outlined a strategy that blends competitive drive with player development, aiming to recruit talent that aligns with the college's academic and athletic aspirations.
