Mike Kazlausky, a name synonymous with Air Force baseball, has recently been elevated to the role of Director of Leadership and Institutional Strategy, marking the culmination of a three‑decade journey with the academy.
His coaching career spanned sixteen seasons, during which he amassed 365 victories—the most in program history—and guided the team through numerous successful campaigns.
A legacy of service
Before stepping onto the dugout, Kazlausky arrived at the academy in 1988 as a walk‑on player, quickly rising to become one of the program’s most decorated athletes, holding three school records and ranking among the top ten in fourteen statistical categories.
Expressing deep appreciation for his years at the United States Air Force Academy, Kazlausky highlighted the honor of representing the institution and the enduring values of service that have defined his career.
The promotion reflects not only his on‑field success but also his broader impact on leadership development within the academy, where he will now shape institutional strategy and mentorship programs.
