Across six rounds, a total of 72 players were selected, with Minnesota emerging as the clear leader, securing ten of those slots and accounting for roughly a third of all American prospects.
The state’s dominance was underscored by the presence of two Edina natives — Emma Peschel and Vivian Jungels — who earned first‑round honors, highlighting the depth of local talent.
Elk River’s own Maddy Christian also heard her name called, drafted 33rd overall by the Minnesota Frost, a testament to the breadth of skill that extends beyond elite prep schools.
Seven distinct youth associations and nine high schools from across Minnesota were represented, illustrating a statewide development model that nurtures players from diverse communities.
