The Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament draws to a close this weekend, with games unfolding across Chaska, Jordan, New Prague and Shakopee as seven St. Cloud-area teams battle for titles in Class A, B and C divisions.
Championship Schedule and Key Matchups
Saturday’s slate includes a Class A showdown between the Sartell Muskies and the St. Patrick Irish at 1:30 p.m. in New Prague, while Class B action begins at 11 a.m. in Jordan with St. Martin Martins of Sartell facing Delano Athletics, followed by the Cold Spring Springers taking on the Plato Blue Jays at 4 p.m., and the Sobieski Skis meeting the Jordan Brewers at 6:30 p.m., also in Jordan.
The championship games are scheduled for Sunday, with the Class A title game set for 3 p.m. in Shakopee and the Class C showdown slated for 6 p.m. in New Prague, while the Class B crown will be decided on Labor Day, Monday at 1 p.m. in Shakopee.
The tournament’s umpiring crew for the weekend comprises eleven local officials—Craig Ehrlichman, Patrick Galdonik, Keith Adelman, Mike Lynch, Matt Hordyk, Wayne Jacobson, Tony Jones, Bryce Eggert, David Gunderson, Nick Berscheid and Jeff Kohls—who will be honored for their service.
Beyond the on‑field competition, the event strengthens community ties across the southern Minnesota suburbs, drawing fans to venues that have nurtured amateur baseball traditions for generations.
