Season Overview
The Mavericks will play 28 games during the 2026‑27 campaign, with 13 of those contests scheduled at Taylor Center in Mankato. The campaign kicks off with the NSIC/MIAA Crossover in Kansas City on November 13‑14, where the team will face Missouri S&T and Washburn in back‑to‑back matchups.
After the initial road swing, Minnesota State returns to its home floor on November 17 to take on Dakota State before heading to Wisconsin Dells for the Dells Classic. The early November slate also includes games against Lake Superior State, Northern Michigan, and St. Cloud State, setting a busy stretch that carries through the holiday season.
Conference play ramps up in January, featuring matchups against Minot State, UMary, and Augustana, while the team travels to face Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State later in the month. The NSIC Tournament will conclude the regular season in late February, with the final three rounds hosted at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.
The schedule also promises a postseason adventure, as the NCAA Central Region Tournament is slated for March 13‑16, and a potential Elite Eight appearance awaits in Fort Wayne, Indiana, should the Mavericks advance.
