The Beavers have been working intensively during the offseason, focusing on building a cohesive identity that hinges on effort, intensity, and collective teamwork.
A New Direction for the Beavers
Daley, who previously served as an assistant at the University of North Dakota, brings a clear tactical vision and a culture of accountability. He has emphasized that the team's success will be measured not just by results but by the way the players execute their roles and support one another on the field.
Among the returning veterans, senior goalkeeper Rebecca Sargent returns after posting four shutouts and nine wins last season, giving the backline a reliable last line of defense. Defender Brittney Egbert, also a senior, contributed four goals and two assists from the back, while midfielder Leilany Ponce added a goal in 19 appearances, showcasing her ability to influence play in the middle.
The roster also welcomes eight newcomers, headlined by freshman forward Jayva McKibben, a first‑team All‑State selection from Minot High who arrives with high expectations. Junior transfer Selam Binegar, who spent two seasons at Casper College, brings experience with a goal and four assists in 19 games, adding depth to the midfield.
Early Tests on the Calendar
The Beavers will open their schedule with an exhibition match against the Magic City Legends on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time, a game that will serve as a first public test of Daley's system. A week later, the team will host Jamestown on Friday, September 4, at 5 p.m., marking the first home appearance of the season and providing a chance to rally the home crowd.
Beyond the early fixtures, the squad aims to compete strongly within the NSIC conference, blending the steadiness of its seasoned players with the fresh energy of the newcomers. The coaching staff believes that this mix of experience and youthful vigor will allow the Beavers to establish a distinct playing style as the season progresses.
