Mississippi State has unveiled the kickoff times and television partners for the first portion of its 2026 football schedule, setting the stage for a season that will feature a historic nine‑game SEC slate.
Season Opener Details
The opening matchup at Davis Wade Stadium will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Central Time and will be carried live on ESPNU, giving fans an early glimpse of the Bulldogs' new look.
A week later the team travels to Minnesota, where a 2:30 p.m. kickoff and a CBS broadcast will await them, followed by the SEC opener at South Carolina's Williams‑Brice Stadium on Sept. 19 at 3:15 p.m., televised on the SEC Network.
The Egg Bowl
The rivalry game against Ole Miss, known as the Egg Bowl, is scheduled for Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. in Oxford, Mississippi, closing out the regular season with a storied contest.
This season marks the third year of Jeff Lebby's tenure as head coach. After finishing 5‑8 last year, including a loss to Wake Forest in the Duke's Mayo Bowl, the program is focused on progress at the quarterback position.
