Missouri and Indiana are on the brink of finalizing a non‑conference basketball showdown scheduled for December 18 in Bloomington, Indiana.
A Strategic Addition to the Tigers’ Slate
The agreement will make the Hoosiers the third Big Ten opponent on the Tigers’ schedule, joining Illinois, Nebraska, Saint Louis University, Marquette, Kansas and Pittsburgh.
The game will be played at Assembly Hall, a venue steeped in college‑basketball history; the matchup also coincides with a symbolic milestone — the contest against Troy marks 99 years, 11 months and one day since the Tigers’ inaugural game at the stadium.
Coach Dennis Gates emphasized that the new fixtures not only test his team against elite competition but also provide a platform to showcase the program’s growth.
The upcoming contests will be staged in two distinct locations: Bloomington, Indiana, and Columbia, Missouri, each offering a unique atmosphere for fans and players alike.
