The Missouri Steel 8U baseball team, a group of thirteen young athletes from the Parkland region, is set to compete in the 2026 Cal Ripken 8U World Series, which will take place in Florence, Alabama, from August 2 through August 8.
Their first match is scheduled for Monday, August 3, at 9 a.m., when they will meet the Florence Navy 8U All‑Stars on Turf 16 at the Florence Sportsplex.
A Regional Showcase
Team officials say the tournament represents more than a chance at a trophy; it is an opportunity to showcase the talent that emerges from communities such as Farmington, Bismarck, West County, Park Hills and Bonne Terre.
Among the players slated to take the field are Emmerson Brackett, who wears jersey No. 1, and Graham Faulkner, numbered No. 2, alongside teammates Baylor Spurgin, Lincoln Massie, Luke Lashley, Nolan Gray, Tatum Beers, Witten Ledbetter, Chase Redmond, Calvin Peterson, Drake Fisher, Miller Redmond, Bryce Turner.
