The University of Missouri’s football program has revealed the three athletes who will serve as its representatives at the upcoming SEC Media Days, where head coach Eli Drinkwitz will outline the team’s plans for the 2026 season.
Who’s Heading to Nashville?
Offensive lineman Cayden Green, a junior who earned a reputation as the Tigers’ left‑tackle anchor, will be the first of the group to speak. In 2025 he helped the offense rank eighth nationally in rushing yards, allowing just two sacks, three hurries and two quarterback hits while earning a mid‑season spot on the Joe Moore Award watch list.
Running back Jamal Roberts, who burst onto the scene with career‑high totals of 753 rushing yards and six touchdowns in 13 games, will also take the stage. His 124 carries placed him among the most efficient backs in the SEC, and his breakout performance has raised expectations for a more dynamic ground attack.
Defensive Presence
Linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez rounds out the trio, bringing a defensive résumé that includes 61 total tackles and seven pass breakups from the previous season. His ability to disrupt opposing passing schemes adds a new dimension to the Tigers’ defensive outlook.
The media session is scheduled for Monday, July 20, giving fans and analysts an early glimpse of the team’s chemistry and strategic direction under Drinkwitz’s leadership.
