Major League Baseball has officially rolled out its 2026 postseason schedule, setting the stage for an October that promises high stakes and dramatic matchups.
A Competitive October Ahead
The Wild Card round is slated to begin on September 29 and will run through October 1, featuring a slate that includes the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals.
Following the Wild Card, the Division Series will take place from October 3 to October 10, pitting the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays in a battle for league supremacy.
The American League Championship Series and the National League Championship Series are scheduled to open on October 12, setting the two finalists for a World Series that will culminate between October 23 and October 31.
