Monmouth Women’s Soccer Unveils 2026 Roster with Mix of Returners and Fresh Talent

Head coach Kylee Flynn highlights experience, new additions as team prepares for preseason

A New Chapter for the Hawks

Monmouth University's women's soccer program has released its 2026 roster, a 28‑player squad that combines the continuity of last season's success with a wave of new talent. The announcement comes as the team looks to build on a campaign that captured the CAA North Division Regular Season title.

Head coach Kylee Flynn, now in her fourth year as head coach and her 16th season overall with the program, expressed confidence that the blend of experience and fresh energy positions the Hawks for another strong run. Flynn's tenure has produced 25 all‑conference selections and three CAA regular‑season championships.

Returning Strength and Fresh Faces

Eighteen players return from the side that finished the previous season with 11 wins, including seven of the eight goal scorers and three of the four starting defenders. Rising senior center back Cadi Hoke anchors a defensive unit that also features returning goalkeeper Tallulah Miller, who started all 14 games a year ago.

The midfield and attack will be bolstered by the likes of All‑CAA selections Chloe Messer, Grace Notarfrancesco, Ashley Lavrich and Evangeline Perdomo, all of whom contributed heavily in the 2025 campaign. Their presence provides a solid foundation of leadership and skill.

Eight freshmen are set to make their collegiate debuts, joining the program after standout performances in high school and European academies. English forward Scarlett Leary and Dutch defender Saar van der Boom arrived from professional academies abroad, while midfielder Nikki Nguyen hails from Lititz, Pennsylvania, and Victoria Burns comes from Plantation, Florida.

Two transfers add further depth: former Butler goalkeeper Addie Marshall, a BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll honoree in 2023, and Brookdale Community College striker Bella Tomassini, who netted 26 goals and earned NJCAA First‑Team All‑American honors in her rookie season. Both are expected to compete for starting roles immediately.

The roster also includes a geographically diverse group, with 23 members originating from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, England, the Netherlands, or Florida. This mix reflects the program's national reach and the coaching staff's recruiting footprint across the United States and abroad.

Preseason training will begin in late July, with official competition kicking off in early August. The full schedule is slated for release in the coming weeks, after which the Hawks will look to translate their depth and experience into another successful season.
