Monroe County Athletes Capture First-Team All-State Honors in Baseball and Softball

Seven baseball players and three softball standouts receive top state recognition, with several more earning honorable mentions

The state coaches associations have announced their 2026 first‑team all‑state selections, and the Monroe County region is well represented, with ten baseball and softball players earning the top honor.

Baseball Honorees by Division

In baseball, seven athletes earned the prestigious nod across four divisions, showcasing the depth of talent from Monroe, St. Mary Catholic Central, Whiteford, and Summerfield.

Division 1 honors went to Asher Simmons and Carson Liedel of Monroe, while Division 2 recognized Cash Moczydlowsky and Noah Banas, both from the same school.

Division 3 saw Lukas Linzell from St. Mary Catholic Central and Tre Eitniear from Whiteford receive the accolade, underscoring the strong showings from both programs.

Reece Kalb of Summerfield was selected in Division 4, rounding out the baseball honorees.

Softball Standouts

On the softball side, Olivia Tilley and Brityn Duffy from Airport led the way in Division 2, while Kaitlyn Kwiatkowski earned a Division 1 spot as an outfielder.

Honorable Mentions

Honorable mentions were also bestowed upon Bedford’s Maddy Kwiatkowski, Brooklyn Martin and Julia Dyson of Airport, as well as Avy Wood, Peyton Welch of Whiteford, Braelyn Runyon, and Hannah Williams of St. Mary Catholic Central.
