The Montana State Bobcats have once again been honored for their commitment to academic excellence, capturing the National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025‑26 season.
With a collective team grade point average that meets the award’s 3.0 threshold, the Bobcats joined an elite group of programs recognized for balancing competitive success with scholarly achievement.
The accolade also spotlighted six individual players who earned placement on the NABC Honors Court, a distinction reserved for those who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Among those honorees, senior forward Davian Brown and guard Jed Miller celebrated a milestone, marking the second time each has been named to the Honors Court, underscoring their sustained academic performance.
A Culture of Excellence
Coach Matt Logie, now in his third year at the helm, has guided the team to this academic accolade in each of his tenures, a testament to the program’s culture of discipline both on and off the court.
The Bobcats have now posted six or more players on the Honors Court for three consecutive seasons, a streak that reflects the program’s consistent emphasis on scholarship.
