The Montgomery 8U All-Stars have clinched the Diamond Youth Baseball Division I AA 8U Coach Pitch World Series Championship in Laurel, Mississippi, a victory that marks a milestone for youth sports in the River Region.
Facing squads from eleven states, the young athletes displayed skill and teamwork that resonated nationwide, showcasing the talent emerging from Montgomery.
The triumph builds on the city’s recent experience hosting the Diamond Youth Baseball Regional World Series at Lagoon Park, where 32 teams from five states gathered just weeks earlier.
Looking ahead to 2027
In July 2027, Montgomery will host the Diamond Youth Baseball Division 6U and 8U World Series events, promising a return of top‑level competition to local fields and further cementing the city’s role in the sport.
