Morocco Brown, a veteran NFL executive with a quarter‑century of front‑office experience, has been appointed general manager of the University of Wisconsin‑Madison football program, a move that signals the Badgers' intent to bolster their personnel operations.
A Strategic Addition to the Badgers' Front Office
Brown arrives after stints with the Indianapolis Colts, the Cleveland Browns, the Washington Commanders and the Chicago Bears, where he rose through the ranks from assistant director of pro personnel to vice president of player personnel. His tenure with the Bears culminated in three NFC North titles and a Super Bowl appearance in the 2007 season.
In his new role, Brown will oversee roster construction, player personnel decisions and overall football operations, working in close collaboration with head coach Luke Fickell and his staff to elevate the Badgers' competitiveness in the Big Ten.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Brown said he is eager to contribute to the Wisconsin Badgers' tradition and to help the program reach new heights, adding that the chance to partner with Fickell was a key factor in his decision.
