Morrilton Devil Dogs Prepare for 2026 Season
The Morrilton Devil Dogs have kicked off fall practice for the 2026 campaign, marking the start of a season that promises both fresh energy and familiar traditions.
The first test will come on August 18, when the team takes part in a preseason scrimmage against the Conway Wampus Cats, a matchup that will give coaches an early glimpse of the roster's potential.
The official opener is slated for August 28 against Russellville, and the schedule also includes first‑time meetings with Harding Academy, Greenwood and Dardanelle, teams that have recently joined the conference.
Coaching Changes Across the Conference
Coach Cody McNabb has been candid about the uncertainty surrounding the squad, noting that several rival programs — including Russellville, Vilonia, Pea Ridge, Alma and Harrison — have introduced new coaching staffs that could reshape the competitive landscape.
