The W.O.W. Baseball Tournament, which ran over successive Saturdays and Sundays in April, brought together more than 50 high‑school teams from across the region, showcasing emerging talent while raising funds for a charitable cause.
All gate receipts from the games were earmarked for the patient assistance fund of Mosaic Life Care’s Behavioral Health Department, providing a direct financial lifeline for individuals seeking treatment and support.
Matching Funds Double the Impact
The Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary, a volunteer‑driven support group, pledged to match the tournament’s contributions, effectively doubling the original sum and amplifying its impact on the department’s resources.
Shaylynn Burnham, who chairs the Auxiliary’s Fund Request committee, said the generosity reflects a growing community commitment to mental‑health awareness and the importance of accessible care.
Together, the tournament and the Auxiliary’s match have pushed total donations to the Behavioral Health Patient Assistance fund beyond $44,000, a milestone that organizers hope will inspire further giving and expand services for those in need.
