A 22‑year‑old college baseball player, Glenwood "Bubba" Pysher IV, was shot and killed by police in Upper Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, after officers responded to a 911 call reporting a possible break‑in at a residence on Snyder Road.

The young athlete was unarmed, carrying only a cellphone and a backpack, when he entered the home believing it was a friend's house after becoming separated from his group in the dark.
According to his mother, Erin Pysher, her son had never been in trouble and was simply visiting the area with friends. She described him as easy‑going, devoted to his family, and beloved by those who knew him.
Pysher had attended several institutions before transferring to Saint Elizabeth University in New Jersey, where he planned to graduate and pursue a career as a history teacher and baseball coach.
The officer who discharged the weapon was placed on administrative leave, but his identity has not been released. The Montgomery County Detective Bureau is conducting a standard investigation into the officer‑involved shooting.
Friends and family have organized a GoFundMe that has raised more than $29,000 toward funeral expenses, while the bereaved family continues to press for full accountability and clarity about the circumstances that led to the tragic encounter.
