National Academic Honors for MSMC Basketball
The Mount Saint Mary College men's basketball program has been recognized with the 2025‑26 National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award, an honor reserved for teams that maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
Three standout players — Conor Gemmill, JP Egan and Jorge Jimenez — were also selected to the NABC Honors Court, a distinction that requires a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson said the accolades reflect the program’s dual commitment to competition and scholarship, emphasizing that academic success is integral to the student‑athlete experience.
The recognition comes amid a broader trend, with more than 2,300 players earning Honors Court spots and roughly 400 institutions receiving Team Academic Excellence Awards for the 2025‑26 season.
