The Mount St. Mary's baseball squad closed out the 2026 campaign with a flurry of conference recognition, as four of its players earned spots on the All-MAAC teams while a further sixteen earned academic honors.

Spotlight on Standout Performers

On the mound, Serigne Sarre proved equally dominant, fanning 90 batters over 70 innings and limiting opponents to a .247 average, finishing the year with a 4.11 ERA and four victories.

Third-baseman Ty Fredo led the offense with a .331 average, adding eight homers, 43 RBIs and a team-high 39 walks, while his 24 stolen bases kept him among the most dangerous baserunners.

Freshman Phoenix Williams earned All-Rookie honors at utility, batting .362 in MAAC play and contributing 13 walks, 12 runs and seven steals across 37 appearances.

The academic side of the program also shone, with 16 athletes named to the MAAC All-Academic Team, a distinction that requires a minimum 3.20 GPA after two semesters.

Mount St. Mary's finished the season at 22-26 overall and 13-17 in conference play, a record that reflects both the competitive nature of the league and the developmental progress of a young roster.

Looking ahead, the coaching staff and athletic department will aim to build on these performances, leveraging the individual accolades to attract the next wave of talent and push for deeper postseason runs.
