The Mount Vernon Orange Sox 11u baseball club placed sixth in a massive Columbus tournament that featured 48 teams from across the state, marking one of the deepest fields in the nation's largest youth baseball event.
Guided by a five‑person coaching staff — Mark Poland, Luke McMillen, Corey Cline, Tyler Berger and Justin Shaw — the squad finished the season with a 29‑9 record, a testament to steady improvement over the year.
Season’s Final Chapter
The team’s final chapter will unfold in the Mansfield Mini‑Monster tournament, where they open against the Ashland Racers on June 27 at 10 a.m. at Greenwich Reservoir Park, before bracket play resumes on Sunday, June 28.
With a roster that includes Logan Ciraky, Kaeden Berger, Sage Shaw and other standouts, the Orange Sox look to cap a memorable campaign with a strong showing in their last games.
