The Mountain Home Community Center (MHCC) has officially opened its doors, providing residents with a climate‑controlled complex that is usable throughout the year for a variety of indoor activities.
State‑of‑the‑Art Facilities
At the heart of the facility is a spacious gymnasium that houses three regulation basketball courts. Each court can be quickly reconfigured to accommodate up to nine pickleball courts, giving players the flexibility to switch between sports without leaving the building.
Above the gym, an indoor walking track winds the length of the building, offering a panoramic view of the adjacent outdoor pool and a rotating display of local artwork. The track provides a safe, climate‑controlled environment for walkers of all ages, rain or shine.
Event Capabilities
The center also features a versatile event hall equipped with a modular carpet system that can cover the hardwood floor, allowing organizers to host large gatherings ranging from community fairs to concerts. The space can comfortably seat up to 1,000 guests, making it one of the most sizable venues in the region.
A full‑size kitchen, along with separate men’s and women’s locker rooms, supports both athletic events and community functions, ensuring that participants have access to necessary amenities.
Pricing and Hours
Access to the facility is straightforward. Day passes are priced at $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children up to 17, and free for children under two. For those who plan to visit regularly, discounted multi‑day passes and membership options are available, encouraging long‑term engagement.
Operating hours are designed to accommodate a wide range of schedules: the center is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
