2026 Schedule Highlights
The Mountain West Conference unveiled its 2026 football broadcast plan, outlining a slate of nationally televised contests that will feature the Wyoming Cowboys in a record number of prime‑time slots.
Wyoming will appear in ten games carried on national networks, including a dedicated slot on the conference’s streaming platform MW+ and another on ESPN+. The schedule also highlights a series of Friday night home contests that pit the Cowboys against familiar rivals.
The first of those Friday night matchups is set for October 23, when Air Force visits Laramie, followed by a November 20 showdown with New Mexico that will air on FS1 at 7 p.m.
The Cowboys open the season on Saturday, September 5, in the Border War against Colorado State, a 4 p.m. kickoff that will be streamed on The CW.
Additional road tests include a September 19 trip to Central Michigan, a September 26 home game against Hawai‘i that begins at 1 p.m. on The CW, and a November 7 night game at UNLV on CBS Sports Network.
The schedule also features a road game at San Jose State on October 9, a October 3 contest at North Dakota State that will start at 1:30 p.m. on The CW, and a November 14 renewal of the rivalry with UTEP on the Fox Family of Networks.
The Mountain West Championship will be televised on FOX for the seventh straight year, with the title game slated for Friday, December 4 at 7 p.m.
