2026 Mountaineers soccer schedule unveiled
The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has released the full 2026 men’s soccer calendar, a 17‑match slate that blends home‑field advantage with a demanding road circuit.
Ten of those contests will be played on the familiar turf of Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, giving the Mountaineers a strong base as they open the campaign, while three preseason friendlies will precede the official start.
Preseason action kicks off with a home showdown against Pitt on August 7, followed by a match against West Virginia Tech on August 11, and wraps up with a trip to Georgetown on August 14, setting the tone for the months ahead.
The regular season officially begins on the road at Charlotte on August 20, and the first home appearance comes four days later when St. Bonaventure visits Morgantown for the home opener on August 24.
Starting September 3, the team embarks on a five‑game stretch at home, beginning with a clash against Akron, then continues with Sun Belt competition against Georgia State on September 17, and culminates with the Mountain State Derby against Marshall in Huntington on September 27.
The schedule rounds out on November 3 with a final road test at James Madison, marking the end of a season that promises plenty of excitement for fans across the region.
