Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff is set to launch a youth basketball league that seeks to foster community spirit and promote development among local youngsters through the game of basketball.

Pastor Robert Handley and the Mt. Harmony family are reaching out to neighboring congregations, asking them to join the effort by identifying participants, providing coaches and offering gym space for practices and games.
Interest Meeting Set for July 14
An informational meeting will take place on July 14 at 6 p.m. at the church. Attendees will discuss age groups, potential gym locations, volunteer coaching roles and the league’s rulebook, ensuring that the structure meets the community’s needs.
Church representatives are encouraged to send a delegate to the meeting, where ideas and feedback will shape the league’s direction and implementation.
