A Dual Legacy of Service and Sport
Mudia Reuben, a Stanford graduate and first‑generation American of Nigerian descent, has earned a spot on the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy watch list, a honor that celebrates both athletic excellence and community service.
His commitment to service dates back to his undergraduate years, when he designed and funded six water wells in rural Nigeria, cutting the daily trek for families from four miles to a few steps. The initiative, which transformed local water access, was recognized by Allstate’s Good Works team.
Reuben’s academic trajectory is equally impressive; after completing his bachelor’s degree in life and health science in just three years, he is now pursuing a master’s in pharmaceutical nanotechnology and biomedical engineering.
On the field, he has become a cornerstone of the South Florida Bulls offense. In the 2025 season he ranked third on the team with 495 receiving yards and fourth with 26 catches, and he capped the year with 14 receptions for 325 yards and four touchdowns over the final three games, highlighted by a 60‑yard and a 59‑yard touchdown.
Under first‑year head coach Brian Hartline, the Bulls are preparing for a pivotal 2026 campaign that includes a new on‑campus stadium slated for 2027. The program, which returns four starters from a 9‑4 team, will open practice on August 5 and is set to host FIU on September 5 at Raymond James Stadium.
Beyond the statistics, Reuben’s story reflects a broader narrative of ambition and impact, linking his Nigerian heritage, Stanford education, and the growing profile of South Florida football as it looks toward its 30th season and a future of continued success.
