Muskingum Valley League Announces 2026 Baseball Honorees

Sheridan and West M dominate, with individual awards highlighting standout performances

The Muskingum Valley League has released its 2026 baseball honorees, recognizing the top performers from its Big and Small School divisions.

Big School Honors

Sheridan clinched the Big School title, driven by standout performances from Noah Wamer and Connor Roshon. Wamer finished the season with a 6‑2 record, a 2.90 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 41 innings, while also earning Player of the Year honors. Roshon complements the rotation with 58 strikeouts in 40 ⅓ innings and a .317 batting average, securing the Pitcher of the Year award.

Sheridan’s coaching staff was also recognized, as Josh Coleman was named Coach of the Year for the Big School division.

Small School Honors

West M captured the Small School championship, with Ashton Ansel and Grady Dollings leading the charge. Ansel hit .417, posted a 1.092 OPS and a 1.64 ERA across 13 appearances, while Dollings went 5‑1 with a 1.99 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 38 ⅔ innings, also batting .390 to earn Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year respectively.

Tom Crowley was honored as Coach of the Year for the Small School division, rounding out the league’s acknowledgment of excellence.

The league also announced its first and second teams for both divisions, along with a list of honorable mentions, underscoring the depth of talent across the competition.
