Naomi Rogge Returns to College Hockey as Augsburg Assistant Coach

Former UMD Star Brings Pro Experience to Auggies' Rising Program

Augsburg University announced this week that Naomi Rogge has joined its women's hockey program as an assistant coach, adding a recent champion to the staff and reinforcing the program's upward trajectory.

A Strategic Addition for the Auggies

During her five‑year tenure with the UMD Bulldogs, Rogge recorded 63 goals and 51 assists in 168 games, establishing herself as a reliable offensive threat and a key contributor to the team's success.

She was a pivotal figure on the 2022 championship‑run team, scoring the overtime winner against Northeastern in the national semifinals and helping the Bulldogs reach the title game.

After college, Rogge continued her career abroad, spending three seasons in Sweden where she tallied 46 points over 101 appearances, gaining a global perspective that she now brings to coaching.

Augsburg's program has captured back‑to‑back MIAC regular‑season titles and earned NCAA Division III tournament berths for the past two seasons, making the hire timely for continued success.

In her new role, Rogge will work alongside the head coach to develop players, design strategies and mentor the next generation of Auggies, aiming to sustain the program's momentum and competitive edge.
