Return of the Championship Weekend
NASCAR has confirmed that Homestead‑Miami Speedway will serve as the venue for its 2027 Championship Weekend, bringing the prestigious event back to South Florida after a ten‑year hiatus.
The three‑day spectacle is slated for November 12 through 14, featuring a triple‑header of racing that will see the NASCAR Cup Series conclude on Sunday, the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday, and the Craftsman Truck Series on Friday.
Track officials announced a $20 million renovation plan that will modernize the main gate, revamp the Ally Champions Club, and expand fan‑focused zones, aiming to enhance the overall experience for attendees.
This marks the second straight year that Homestead‑Miami Speedway will host the championship weekend, a streak that follows its earlier run from 2002 to 2019 and the recent tenure of Phoenix Raceway between 2020 and 2025.
Executives from the speedway and NASCAR executives, including Guillermo Santa Cruz and Ben Kennedy, highlighted the strategic importance of the venue for the sport’s future and its commitment to fans.
