Brickyard Weekend Sets the Stage
The NASCAR Brickyard Weekend opens with two marquee events that have drawn full entry lists, promising early drama for fans and teams alike.
In the Craftsman Truck Series, 38 trucks have been entered, but only 36 spots are available for Friday night’s race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, meaning two drivers will miss the main event.
The TSport 200, presented by Warn Industries, will run 200 laps with stage breaks at laps 60 and 120, while the Pennzoil 250, sponsored by Take 5 Oil Change, will take place on Saturday at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Championship contenders, Cup Series regulars and rising young talent are all slated to compete, creating a deep field that includes names such as Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott, Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill, Sammy Smith, Brandon Jones, Jesse Love, Sam Mayer and Ryan Sieg.
Defending race winner Layne Riggs returns in the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford, while Indiana native Conor Daly is among the headline drivers entered for the weekend.
The debut of 18‑year‑old Gavan Boschele in the No. 1 Tricon Garage Toyota adds extra excitement, as does the participation of a roster of drivers including Daniel Dye, Ty Majeski, Christian Eckes, Kaden Honeycutt and many others.
Qualifying will be pivotal, especially for the Truck Series, where the limited grid spots intensify the battle for a starting position and set the tone for the remainder of the weekend.
The action culminates on Sunday with the Brickyard 400 for the Cup Series, completing a weekend that many expect to be a defining moment in the 2026 season.
