NASCAR is set to revive the excitement of the Truck Series at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway this July, bringing back a beloved venue that has long been a staple of the series.
Defending the Crown
Chandler Smith captured the 2025 victory at North Wilkesboro, and he will be among the favorites as he looks to repeat the feat in the upcoming July race.
New Faces in the Field
Joining Smith will be rising talents Layne Riggs and Tyler Ankrum, both of whom battled for position in the 2025 event and are expected to add fresh competition to the lineup.
The financial incentive for teams and drivers has also been bumped up, with the purse for the 2026 race announced at $789,700, a modest increase over the $782,900 awarded a year earlier.
Prize Money and Transparency
While the expanded purse reflects NASCAR’s confidence in the event, the organization continues to withhold details about the exact payout to the race winner, keeping the financial rewards of victory under wraps.
