NASCAR Returns to Circuit of the Americas for a Seventh Consecutive Year
NASCAR will stage its Cup Series and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races at the Circuit of the Americas from March 5 through March 7, 2027, marking the seventh straight year the series has returned to the Texas venue.
The weekend opens on Friday with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series contest, continues Saturday with the second O’Reilly‑branded race, and culminates on Sunday with the DuraMAX Texas Grand Prix Powered by RelaDyne Cup Series event, the third race of the season.
Shane van Gisbergen of Trackhouse Racing captured the Friday O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victory, while Tyler Reddick of 23XI Racing became the first driver to win the opening three Cup Series races of a season at COTA, underscoring his early dominance.
The festival atmosphere includes a Fan Zone that draws enthusiasts from 47 U.S. states and ten foreign nations, offering driver appearances, entertainment and interactive activities.
NASCAR at COTA’s General Manager Mark Faber noted the growing popularity of the sport in the Austin region, emphasizing the series’ commitment to affordability, with children twelve and under admitted free on Friday and Saturday and a $10 ticket price for Sunday’s finale.
The event forms part of a Texas double‑header, with the second stop scheduled for Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth later in the year, while additional details on start times and broadcast partners will be released in due course.
