NASCAR Extends Practice Sessions at New Hampshire
NASCAR has unveiled a significant tweak to its Cup Series weekend format, promising more time on the tarmac for teams and drivers.
Starting with the next event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the series will replace the traditional two 25‑minute practice windows with a single 50‑minute session. In addition, each team will receive an extra set of tires, allowing multiple runs within that extended window.
More Track Time for Teams
The extra track time is intended to give crews a better chance to fine‑tune setups, test strategies and fine‑tune car balance before the heat of competition. For fans, the longer session translates into more on‑track action and a richer build‑up to the race.
