The inaugural Laps with Legends 5K will take place Saturday, May 23, at 8 a.m. in Uptown Charlotte, beginning at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The 3.1‑mile route winds through the city’s historic district and finishes back at the Hall of Fame, offering a scenic trek for participants of all ages and skill levels.

Headlining the event are NASCAR icons Richard Petty, Carl Edwards and Kurt Busch, who will lead the field and share their passion for the sport with the community.

Kurt Busch said he feels honored to be part of the Hall of Fame and is eager to support the Foundation’s mission of giving children the chance to discover racing.

Winston Kelley, Executive Director of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, expressed excitement about bringing the event to the city, noting it will strengthen the connection between the Hall and local fans.

All proceeds from the race will benefit the NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation, which works to provide youth with opportunities to engage with motorsports.
