NASCAR Moves Pocono Race Start to Noon Ahead of Stormy Weather

Amazon Prime Video, MRN and SiriusXM will broadcast the event live, with unchanged parking logistics.

Early Start for Pocono NASCAR Event

Organizers of the upcoming NASCAR weekend at Pocono Raceway have decided to shift the green flag to 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, citing forecasts of deteriorating conditions that could truncate the schedule. The adjustment is intended to give spectators the full race experience before any potential rain or thunderstorms roll through the Pennsylvania venue.

The change does not affect the opening of the parking lots and the gates, which will welcome fans at their regular times. Attendees can still arrive early, grab food, and explore the mid‑Atlantic track’s unique layout without rushing through the entry process.

Live coverage will be provided by three distinct platforms: Amazon Prime Video will stream the race online, the Motor Racing Network will handle radio play‑by‑play, and SiriusXM Radio will simulcast the broadcast across its satellite and streaming services. Pre‑race programming on the video platform begins at noon, giving viewers a full hour of analysis, driver interviews and behind‑the‑scenes footage before the engines fire.

Last year’s edition of the event was won by Chase Briscoe, but the race was pushed back by two hours due to a weather front that lingered over the circuit. The memory of that delay has prompted officials to be proactive this season, aiming to avoid a similar disruption for drivers, teams and the growing audience that tunes in via the aforementioned broadcasters.
