NASCAR Returns to Chicagoland Speedway with 2027 Triple-Header Weekend

Joliet to host ARCA, O’Reilly and Cup Series events alongside a downtown Race Fan Rally, delivering a major economic boost

NASCAR is set to make a high-profile comeback at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet next year, staging a three-race weekend from June 25 to June 27, 2027.

Race Schedule

The ARCA Menards Series will kick off the action on June 25, followed by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on June 26, and the premier NASCAR Cup Series event on June 27.

Alongside the on-track competition, the weekend will feature the Race Fan Rally, a street-festival-style celebration that brings fans, vendors and local businesses together in downtown Joliet.

City officials estimate that the influx of visitors will generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in economic activity, with spending across hotels, restaurants and ancillary services.

Mayor Terry D’Arcy expressed enthusiasm for the return, noting that Joliet had actively lobbied to secure the event and that the races mark a significant boost for the local economy.

While NASCAR previously staged street races in downtown Chicago, the 2027 schedule reflects a strategic shift toward the Joliet venue, underscoring its growing appeal for national motorsport events.
