Governor Kim Reynolds emphasized the event’s economic impact, noting that the weekend will generate sustained benefits for communities across central Iowa while showcasing the state’s clean E15 fuel to a national audience.
Iowa Speedway’s President Eric Peterson described fan enthusiasm as "incredible," citing three consecutive sell‑out NASCAR Cup Series events in 2024‑2026 and strong demand for the supporting ARCA Menards and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races.
Construction crews are slated to begin repaving the track immediately after the 2026 Cup Series race concludes, ensuring the upgrades are ready well before the 2027 celebration and reinforcing the track’s reputation as the Fastest Short Track on the Planet.
