NASCAR Returns to North Wilkesboro for Historic Race
NASCAR is set to make a much‑anticipated return to North Wilkesboro Speedway on July 19, staging the Window World 450, a 450‑lap event that marks the first points‑paying race at the historic 1.54‑mile oval in North Carolina since 1996.
Rain forced the cancellation of qualifying on July 18, but the weather delay gave Ryan Blaney a surprise advantage as he claimed the pole position for the upcoming contest.
The race will cover 450 laps, translating to 281.25 miles of action, and is divided into three stages — 80 laps, 185 laps and a final 185‑lap sprint — with the green flag scheduled for roughly 6:15 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday.
Fans will be able to watch the broadcast on TNT, which will also stream the event on HBO Max and through NASCAR.com, while in‑car cameras will provide a driver‑level view. Audio listeners can tune in via PRN on 830 AM in Nashville or on SiriusXM channel 90.
The field includes a mix of seasoned veterans and rising talent such as Tyler Reddick, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs, Carson Hocevar, Shane van Gisbergen, Corey Heim and Chase Briscoe, all of whom are expected to battle fiercely on the tight, high‑banked track.
