A Strategic Shift for the Truck Series
NASCAR is on the verge of announcing a multi‑year entitlement sponsorship with FedEx Freight, positioning the logistics giant as the new flagship partner of the NASCAR Truck Series.
The agreement, expected to be finalized within weeks, is valued in the low eight figures and will encompass purse payouts, rights fees and media‑buy allocations, effectively replacing the Craftsman branding that has been associated with the series since 1995.
FedEx Freight, spun off from FedEx Corporation on June 1 2024, has emerged as North America’s largest less‑than‑truckload service provider, a stature that lent weight to the partnership.
The deal marks the second major sponsor change in a year for NASCAR’s national series, following O’Reilly Auto Parts’ recent takeover of the Xfinity Series entitlement.
While Fox Sports retains exclusive media‑rights for the Truck Series, the new sponsor will influence ad inventory and sponsored segment placements, integrating brand messaging directly into broadcast content.
The arrangement also aligns with the profile of Denny Hamlin, a three‑time Daytona 500 champion and long‑time FedEx‑sponsored driver, who is expected to benefit from the renewed brand alignment.
