Honoring a legacy
Chase Elliott, a veteran of the Cup Series, will make his first Truck Series start since 2023 by climbing into the No. 07 Chevrolet that was originally reserved for the late Kyle Busch, adding a high‑profile element to the weekend.
Elliott’s participation carries added significance because he has been vocal about honoring Busch’s legacy, turning the swap into a tribute that resonates with fans and competitors alike.
Kasey Kleyn will make his NASCAR national series debut, taking over the No. 27 Chevrolet from Toni Breidinger, having just secured his first ARCA Menards Series West victory at Tri‑City Raceway.
Donovan Strauss is also slated for his debut, replacing Cleetus McFarland in the No. 4 Chevrolet; the Michigan‑born driver arrives after a strong showing in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour.
The reshuffling comes after Kyle Busch had planned to compete in eight Truck Series races during the 2026 season, a schedule cut short by his passing in May, prompting the series to adjust its lineup in a gesture of respect.
