NASCAR has released the full competition calendar for the 2027 season, outlining the slate of races that will determine champions across its premier Cup Series, the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. The schedule preserves many of the series' traditional venues while weaving in a series of strategic changes designed to refresh the competitive landscape.
Return of Classic Venues
The 2027 Cup Series will once again feature races at Daytona International Speedway, North Wilkesboro, Dover, Richmond and Darlington, with the latter three joining the season‑ending championship weekend at Homestead‑Miami Speedway. Watkins Glen remains the sole road course on the Cup calendar, while the San Diego Street Course makes a comeback later in the year.
A notable calendar shift sees the Fourth of July weekend move to Iowa Speedway for the first time, giving the historic half‑mile track a marquee summer date.
Series Adjustments
In the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, North Wilkesboro returns to the schedule after a multi‑decade absence, while Rockingham is removed. The Craftsman Truck Series will lose events at Rockingham, San Diego, Dover and Richmond but will add a points‑paying race at Bowman Gray Stadium and welcome back Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, which last appeared before the pandemic. Additionally, St. Pete will host a joint weekend with IndyCar in the Truck Series, expanding the series' road‑course footprint.
Championship Weekend
The 2027 championship weekend will be consolidated at Homestead‑Miami Speedway, where the Cup, O'Reilly and Truck divisions will all crown their champions over the November 12‑14 dates, creating a high‑stakes finale for the sport.
Broadcast Landscape
Coverage of the Cup Series will be shared among FOX, Amazon Prime Video, TNT and USA/NBC, while the O'Reilly Series moves to The CW and the Truck Series remains on FOX, ensuring a broad distribution of racing content across traditional and streaming platforms.
