The NASCAR Cup Series will lock in its starting lineup for the Anduril 250 this weekend, as the series travels to the Naval Base Coronado street course in Coronado, California, for a June 20 qualifying session.
Practice took place on June 19 on the 3.4‑mile temporary circuit, where Kyle Larson posted the fastest lap in a mock qualifying run, edging out a field that included Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney.
Qualifying is divided into two groups, each given 20 minutes to set their best times, with the combined results forming the final grid. The session is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. CT.
The broadcast will be carried live on Amazon Prime Video, with a secondary stream on NASCAR.com and SiriusXM, giving viewers multiple platforms to follow the action.
The Coronado Challenge
The street course winds through the naval base, presenting a unique blend of tight turns and high‑speed straights that test both car setup and driver skill. The layout has drawn a full complement of teams, from Trackhouse Racing to Hendrick Motorsports, each bringing a roster of drivers that reads like a who’s‑who of modern NASCAR.
Fans can expect a competitive field, with veterans such as Joey Logano and emerging talents like Ty Gibbs all vying for pole position on a venue that promises unpredictable racing.
